6 May - 5 June is the month of the Yin Fire Snake (Ding Si 丁巳), the 4th month of the year of the Yin Water Rabbit (癸卯). Snake is a Fire element, bringing us to the brink of Summer. The hidden elements of Snake are Yang Metal, Yang Fire, and Yang Earth, so there’s a huge amount of fire this month, with potential for high energy and restlessness. There is likely to be a significant bump in the energy, finance, travel, and food services sectors.
Here’s a breakdown of how this month can affect the zodiac animals this month. Keep in mind that the energy of the month can affect all areas of your life depending upon which pillar the zodiac animal resides. It can also affect the people you know who are associated with those pillars. In any event, use energy that is favorable to your best advantage, and avoid risky behavior/places if it’s unfavorable.
This month favors the Snake, Horse, Goat, Dog, and Ox. For those favored it’s a good time to start something new or go on a long journey. For Snake (especially if in the Day or Month pillar) it’s a good opportunity for overseas travel.
The Pig is at a higher risk this month (in combination with the annual Great Sha, Earth Sha, and Flying Chest) so avoid doing anything that has an element of high risk.
These Auspicious Dates are more favorable for some animals than others. If it’s favorable, use this day wisely for things of importance. If it’s not as auspicious for you, don’t take risks on these days:
6 May (Wood Rat) favors Rat, Ox, Tiger, Dragon, Goat, and Monkey. It’s unfavorable for Horse, Rooster, and Pig.
7 May (Wood Ox) favors Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, and Monkey, but not so good for Snake, Goat, Rooster, and Pig
12 May ( Metal Horse) favors Ox, Tiger, Horse, Goat Monkey, but not so good for Rat, Rooster, Dog, and Pig
19 May (Fire Ox) favors Rat, Snake, and Horse, but not so good for Rabbit, Goat, Rooster, and Pig.
24 May (Water Horse) favorsOx, Tiger, Rabbit, Snake and Monkey, but not so good for Rat, Monkey, Rooster, and Pig.
31 May (Earth Ox) favors Rat, Tiger, Rabbit, Snake, and Monkey but not so good for Ox, Goat, Rooster, and Pig.
2 June (Metal Rabbit) favors Tiger, Rabbit, Snake, Dog, and Horse, but not so good for Rooster and Pig.
This is a Nobleman month if you have a Yin Water or Yang Water Day Master or were born in the years ending with 2 or 3. There will be helpful people or fruitful opportunities at your disposal.
The Snake forms a Fire Penalty this month with Tiger & Monkey. If you only have both be especially mindful of your relationships and health. If you have a partial penalty with only one of these zodiac animals in your chart, you still want to take precautions.
As for the Feng Shui for the month of the Snake, this is a Fu Yin month. This means that the Stars are all back in their “home base” placements this month, which causes qi stagnation. The best way to combat this is by moving the energy around a bit. Rearrange the furniture, clean under and behind furniture, change/move the art pieces on the walls, and open the windows & doors to allow flow of fresh qi from outdoors.
If you have a South-facing house you’re likely to experience celebrations and/or growth this month. Aside from that, the South sector hosts the best energy overall this month.
The sectors that you might want to avoid or spend less time is the Southwest (illness/tension), the East (illness/disharmony), the Center (tension/misfortune), and the West (combative).
