Welcome to the month of the Yang Water Dragon (Apr 4 - May 4), which is the transition month between Spring and Summer. The element of the Dragon is Yang Earth, so we have a water trigram over an earth trigram, forming Hexagram 8…a force for positive change. The Dragon supports spiritual awakening/strengthening, so this will be a good month to go within and open yourself to new insights, and spiritual development or augmentation. Take a spiritual inventory to identify challenges and where and how you might find more support and growth.
Monthly Nobleman: Dragon is never a Nobleman, so there won’t be any extra support this month for helpful people.
Monthly Clash & Combine: If you were born in the year, month, day, or hour of the Dog, this will be a clash month for you. This means you may encounter lack of direction or challenges. Often a clash month will also be the catalyst for growth and transformation. If Dog is in your year, it can affect your relationships with friends or business network, so be aware of this and be mindful of how you proceed in that area. This may not be the month to launch a social campaign. If Dog is in your month, there may be challenges in your career or with siblings. Again, be mindful and keep your head down…don’t make waves. If Dog is in your day, the challenge can be closer to home…with your intimate partner or within yourself. If Dog is in your hour of birth, this can affect your “output” which can translate to challenges with employees, students, your children, and your creativity…leaving you feeling stuck or uncertain. In all of these cases, the best thing you can do is to be mindful of the challenges and learn from them. This is also a COMBINE month for the ROOSTER, which can have the same “misdirected” effect as a clash.
Feng Shui Support for April: There is extra support in the East this month for academics, writing, and creativity. Spend time here reading, writing, and creating. The Southwest will support prosperity, expansion and opportunity, particularly for females. Use this area to do your planning, brainstorming, and networking. If you want to feed this energy, place a plant here.
Feng Shui Cautions for April: The Center, which is the universal energy of the month, brings an opposition of elements, creating tension that can result in disagreements or legal action. To attenuate this, you can add a small amount of red, such as a bud vase or other small accessory. The Misfortune Star visits the West, canceling the wealth star for the month. To attenuate this star, add a small amount of metal, such as 6 metal coins. The Illness star visits the Southeast and couples with the annual Misfortune Star/Wu Wang, activating it. You’ll want to add additional metal and avoid this sector.
