July - Month of the Fire Goat/Sheep/Ram

Month of the Yin Fire Goat (Ding Wei 丁未)

July 7 - August 6 is the month of the Yin Fire Goat-Sheep-Ram/Ding Wei 丁未. In the Chinese calendar, the Sheep month is the 3rd and waning month of Summer. The element of Summer is Fire and the main element of the Sheep is Yin Earth, with hidden elements of Yin Fire and Yin Wood. The Stem of this month is Yin Fire…so there’s still a significant amount of Fire energy this month. However, this Fire is like candlelight…so while it burns brightly, it’s not quite as energetic and expansive as last month. You can even say it’s more of a spiritual, reflective, introspective kind of Fire energy.

The Fire Sheep is honest, upright, and reliable. Unlike Horse, it can be passive and enjoys more calm environments and peaceful environments. On the flip side, it can be stubborn and at times reckless and careless. In adversity, it won’t give in easily and is both capable and decisive. Overall, the pace will be slower than last month and we will likely see some “butting of heads” even as we solidify allies/friends. Look for leadership to emerge that is kind, wise, and desires to help others, even in the midst of chaos.

Clash: If you have Ox anywhere in your chart, this is a clash month for you. Clash simply means that there could be hurdles or changes. Since we grow from these experiences, the upside is that it could well be a transformative month for you.

6 Combination: If you have a Horse in your chart, Sheep month is very favorable for you. There is potential for magical things to occur, whether it be people or opportunities.

Nobleman: If you have Yang Wood, Yang Earth, or Yang Metal in your Day Master or Year Stem (born in a year ending with 4, 8, or 0), the Sheep is your nobleman month. You are able to adapt to situations or get support from the people around you.
