Health can be negatively affected by digging/construction in the areas of the Annual Afflictions. It is for this reason that it’s best to avoid all digging and construction in these areas.

The Four Afflictions are: Tai Sui/Grand Duke (15 degrees), Sui Po/Year Breaker (15 degrees), San Sha/Three Killings (75 degrees), and the Wu Wang (45 degrees). For the year 2021 those directions are NE1, SW2, NE3-SE1, and SE (SE1-SE3).

The remedy for digging and/or construction in the harmful directions for any year is to have METAL between your home/building and the digging/constructions project until the project is completed.

 IF you must do repairs inside a house in one of the areas where construction should be avoided, replace any remedy from the Feng Shui Energy Calculations with METAL in that area until the project is completed.

 IF you must do repairs or construction on a house that is Sitting in the Tai Sui or Sui Po (opposite the Tai Sui), it would be best to move out until the project is completed.

Metal between digging and or construction outside and/or Metal in a palace/section inside due to construction in an Annual No Digging/Construction direction overrides the Xuan Kong calculation adjustments. This Metal is to protect Health ONLY during the project & it is removed once the project is completed. At the end of an interior construction project, the annual inside adjustment replaces the construction metal, according to what the Xuan Kong calculations have determined.

 FOR NEW CONSTRUCTION:

The sound of metal disperses the negative effects of Annual Afflictions. In ancient China, when they had fewer Metal pieces of equipment, the construction boss or a local priest would open each day of work with the sound of a Metal gong. Today, the noise of Metal equipment can work as the sound of Metal remedy. There is NO residual effect upon the building from the Annual Afflictions.

 METAL REMEDIES

 OUTSIDE Metal between digging/construction & a house can be:

-A Car parked between the project & house

-Large (over 12″ long) Metal Wind Chimes OR pipe laying next to the building

-Metal outdoor furniture

-Metal fencing, trellis, or other metal structure

 INSIDE Metal for digging/construction should be at least the same size as the house needs for a Heavy Metal remedy.
